Seaton is located between the ancient harbour of Axmouth and the white cliffs of Beer. Its mile long beach, which is part of the Jurassic Coast, opens onto the waters of Lyme Bay. The town itself has many small shops, a local hospital, doctors' surgeries, primary school, banks and building societies. Seaton is a popular resort for holiday makers, and boasts a wealth of activities including golf, tennis, bowls and sailing. There are good secondary schools nearby along with the renowned Colyton Grammar School, which is just 3 miles inland. The County town of Exeter, with its regional airport, is some twenty miles to the west, and the mainline rail link to London (Waterloo) is at Axminster, approximately seven miles distant. An attractive and popular East Devon seaside resort with a good size resident population which is increasing rapidly with many new developments planned and currently under construction. The town attracts many tourists and day visitors throughout the year. It is located on the world famous Jurrassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A new Jurrassic Coast visitor centre has opened which will further boost visitor numbers. There is the unique Electric Tram Railway which operates from its Terminus nearby traveling through the Axe valley bird sanctuary and wetlands to the historic inland town of Colyton. The famous Beer Caves and Pecorama railway and visitor centre are closeby in the fishing village of Beer.

Number 1 Mulberry Cottages is a character cottage believed to date back to the mid-19th Century with later extensions. This end of terrace cottage is situated in a quiet tucked away location right in the heart of the town with the shops, facilities, seafront and beach just a short stroll away. The cottage is approached through a gate from the pedestrianised area of Fore Street and leads past two other cottages taking you to the front door to Number 1. There is a small canopy porch to the front door which opens to a small entrance hall with stairs rising to the first floor. The cosy living room has a window to the front with a window seat, a stone fireplace with wooden mantle over and exposed ceiling beams. The kitchen/breakfast room has two windows, one with a window seat and a range of matching base kitchen units with laminate worktops. There is an inset electric hob with oven beneath, space for a fridge/freezer and a stainless steel, one and a half bowl single drainer sink unit. The kitchen benefits from vinyl tile effect flooring, a night storage heater and space for a table and chairs as well as access to a deep understairs storage cupboard with light. The kitchen leads through to a rear lobby which features an airing cupboard and a door to the outside courtyard. From here, there is also access to the bathroom. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms accessed from either side of the stairs. Bedroom 1 has distant views towards the countryside and a built-in wardrobe above the stairs. A door leads from Bedroom 1 to an additional adjoining bedroom/dressing room. The property benefits from double glazing throughout and some night storage heaters.
